FOR DISTRICT 5 SUPERVISOR

Joanne Neft Endorses Wayne Nader for Placer County Supervisor: A Shared Commitment to Protecting Our Community

It was a true honor to spend time with Joanne Neft, a treasured figure in Placer County. We met at a Placer Land Trust event, and it reminded me of the lasting impact she’s had on our community. A lifelong resident of both Tahoe and Auburn, Joanne has dedicated her life to preserving our agricultural resources and open spaces. She’s a true pioneer of the “Farm to Fork” movement, launching Placer County’s first Farmers Markets in 1989. Joanne is also the author of a book promoting locally grown food, and as the founding chair of the Placer Legacy, she has worked tirelessly to secure the future of our agricultural lands and open spaces. Her creation of the Mountain Mandarin Festival highlights the abundance of our foothill mandarin farms, and her ongoing efforts have greatly enriched the quality of life we enjoy here.

Joanne’s enthusiastic endorsement of my campaign for Placer County Supervisor is deeply meaningful. She recognizes my commitment to putting the best interests of our communities first, especially when it comes to preserving the natural beauty and resources that make our county so special.
